About
Canary Yellow makes dance music that thrives in the in between—melodic yet propulsive, intricate yet explosive, delicate yet undeniably physical. His sound exists where structure dissolves into feeling, where the precision of UK techno and house meets the fluidity of American bass music. Each track is a study in contrast, designed to suspend dancers in weightlessness before the next rush forward. Since debuting on CloudCore with Waterlily—a fusion of pop-leaning future garage and euphoric trance—his sonic identity has shapeshifted across releases on forward-thinking labels like Tabula Rasa, Daisy Chain, and Conduit. His music has echoed through Bicep’s Chroma sets, pulsed through festival stages at III Points and Coachella, and this year, bringing his sound to Lightning in a Bottle himself. As much a student of the dancefloor as he is an architect of it, Canary Yellow has found himself supporting and sharing the stage with artists who helped shape his vision such as Caribou, Conducta, Jacques Greene, Villager, The Glitch Mob, Machinedrum, Jasper Tygner, Nia Archives, O’Flynn, and more.
