About
RamonPang is a Los Angeles-raised Filipino-American DJ and producer crafting experimental, sampledelic, bass-heavy music. Inspired by 1990s IDM and deep dives into modern club sounds, his genre-fluid DJ sets—jumping from off-kilter garage and breaks to slamming trap and cold IDM cuts—have made him a standout, supporting acts like Skrillex, G Jones, and salute. His "slickly synthesized" mixing landed him on Mixmag's 'Best Mixes of 2025 So Far' list, cementing his boundary-pushing reputation. As a curator of deep electronic music, his short-form videos have amassed over 10 million unique views across all platforms in 2025 alone, establishing him as a thought leader in the genres he is most passionate about. His production influences are diverse - imagine Todd Edwards sample chopping up Hiroshi Yoshimura, DJ Icey sneaking in a breakbeat, and Aphex Twin digitally tweaking it from the corner. Add Teddy Riley's funk, Four Tet's romantic electronic folk and Rustie's 2012 Essential Mix chaos, and you start to get the picture. This genre-blurring approach paid off in 2021 when he won Baauer's beat battles on Twitch, judged by A-Trak and Mura Masa. In 2022, Four Tet championed his music on BBC's Essential Mix of the Year, in b2b sets with Skrillex and Fred again.., and recently in 2025, closing out Dekmantel's main stage. RamonPang's production stretches soft sounds to hard limits—lush yet chaotic, smooth yet unpredictable. His third album Life Cycle Waves took an introspective, focused turn, earning praise from Resident Advisor and Igloo Mag. His mission: proving experimental music isn't exclusionary—it's a journey anyone can take. His third album 'Life Cycle Waves' was praised for its introspection, as a refreshing take on melodic IDM and introspective, metallic, hip-hop inspired beats. Beyond his own work, RamonPang co-runs Tabula Rasa Records, fostering a new wave of artists like Kelbin, Crosstalk, canary yellow, Clearcast, and Keenan Mathias.
